A good outfit can make or break your confidence. Outfits have a significant impact on one’s mood. people have recently become aware of this. Perhaps this is why styling has become so essential in recent years. According to studies, women tend to dress to reveal or conceal their bodies, and their clothing choices are influenced by their body image.
The term “Enclothed cognition“ was invented by scientists to characterise this phenomena. This is the scientific term for the idea that what we wear influences our thoughts. The idea states that the clothes we (or others) wear alters our cognitive processes. This isn't a new phenomenon. Humans have worn clothing almost from the dawn of humanity. It began as a necessity and a way of communication, but it swiftly evolved into an art form, admired by people. For centuries, clothing was the most significant status symbol, revealing your position in the society , how much money you had, and what you did for a living. Certain hues (such as purple) and textiles (such as silk) were, for example, reserved for the royal or upper classes. Workers would save up all their money in order to purchase a purple dress or accessory in the hope of moving up the corporate ladder. Clothing served as both a status symbol and a mode of transportation in a civilization that was notoriously immobile.
In today's world, this is still true. Clothes have become inextricably linked to our culture. What you wear communicates who you are and where you fit into the world to others. It also instructs your brain on what behaviours and characteristics it should exhibit when you are dressed in that particular attire.

This is one of the major reasons why styling as a profession is becoming popular. We have very renowned fashion bloggers as well as micro influencer giving fashion tips. They also talk about body positivity and variety of important issues in the society. Women should be allowed to wear whatever they are comfortable in. Some of us are still very new to the concept of styling. Its hard to keep up with all the trends as a working women. Hence, a stylist helps you in finding outfits that you feel the most confident in. They ask about your body type and suggest you clothes that would suit you the best. Once you are in an outfit that you feel amazing in, you automatically come in a good mood. You radiate positivity, people like to talk to you.

Styles and Trends change very often. Different styles depict different parts of your personality. A woman in a neatly tailored suit gives out powerful vibes. It shows that you are a ‘Girl Boss’ and get your work done very easily. It makes people wonder that you are intimidating and take charge over things. Street style is more of a laidback style. This style portrays comfort and modernity. It shows that you are comfortable in your own skin, reflecting ‘badass’ vibes. Similarly different colours represent different mood. If a person is wearing white, people feel calm and composed talking to them. It is an inviting colour. It is soothing in nature. Red is known as a colour of love. The list can go on endlessly.
People regard you differently because they can perceive YOU in a new light when your clothes not only fit, but also fit who you are. Yes, your physical appearance has changed. Dress to please (yourself!) while flattering your current body, and notice the difference in how you feel and how others see you.
